Territory Manager

Wimsatt Building Materials is looking for a motivated and qualified Territory Manager - Outside Sales (B2B) for the Michigan region.

Wimsatt Building Materials is a distributor of quality steep slope &low slope roofing, exterior cladding, windows & doors, and general building materials, serving builders and contractors with the gold standard for service from eight locations across Michigan and Northern Ohio.

Harness the power of relationships and unlock your earning potential! This is a people business and it starts with you. Be our consultative, relationship builder in your territory. We will provide the tools, training and support you need to connect with new and current customers, ranging from start-ups to large remodeling contractors and builders. Wimsatt has the best brands in exterior building materials, but it all comes down to providing the best customer experience in the marketplace.

The territory comes equipped with a book of accounts to service immediately. Whether you're prospecting for new business or growing existing accounts, you will leverage your expert consultative skills to identify customer complexities and recommend tailored solutions to meet their needs and become business partners. Customer interactions count – our Territory Managers strive for 10-12 impactful (in-person) daily interactions with decision makers (existing accounts or prospects).

Wimsatt offers a very competitive salary, with a commission and bonus structure which can lead to a six-figure income. In addition, there are BC/BS medical benefits, holiday and vacation pay, and a 401(k) profit sharing plan with a company match – valued at a total of $19,000. Territory Managers are also equipped with a company vehicle and smart phone.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience
  • Professional image maintained constantly in appearance and written and verbal communication.
  • Strong work ethic and desire to exceed internal and external expectations
  • Customer-centric focus and desire to provide an unparalleled customer experience
  • Excellent organizational and follow up skills

Preferred candidates will possess (in addition to the above):

  • Prior building material experience/knowledge background
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • History of continuous improvement in sales year over year
